TN: J.M. da Fonseca Moscatel de Setúbal '98

A fortified dessert wine from the peninsula of Setúbal, near Lisbon. Served chilled. Beautiful orange / golden colour, fading to colourless on the edge. Distinctive nose of orange peel and tropical fruits, with some apple and cellery (never smelled that in a wine, strangely appealing). Very smooth, the aromas continue in the taste, with some added lemon flavours. Sweet, but not too sweet, and with a refreshing acidity. Finish is long and warm. I love this stuff, wish I had more. (This bottle was a gift from friends who brought it with them from Portugal).
