Tasted this wine for the second time last night at dinner (Latium, new-ish restaurant in London).
Pure chardonnay, matured like proper white burgundy but with an Italian edge.
The wine had pale yellow colour and a lovely full nose of smoke with some butter (minor). Honestly, this wine really resembles 1er cru Mersault but with a refreshing zip of acidity that marks it out as being a little other than French. In a blind tasting, I would mistake this for Burg.
Very good length, with a lemon zestiness. An excellent accompaniment to my tuna botarga ravioli starter. Great food wine.
At £37/bottle from their wine list, a good value wine. If I could find some to cellar, I would. I think I rate this about 92 points.
