For what it’s worth, my bottle was popped and poured so perhaps that explains part of our point differential. A few of the tasters at the table had commented that they thought this 2006 Chante-Alouette seemed more advanced at this stage then previous vintages they had tried near release, and therefore said they weren’t sure if this vintage would age as well as previous vintages. I don’t have a lot of experience with white Rhone, or with this wine specifically. What are your thoughts?
The 1% milk and pure apple juice I had with my breakfast were no slouches either, but unfortunately I didn’t take any notes.
