Ridge has limited sit down tastings by appointment during the week.
Fogarty is up on Skyline, not too far from Rhys. Their long time assistant winemaker stepped up and is now in charge. The changes he's made in the vineyard and cellar have really put them in the top tier of Pinot producers in CA. Chards are really good, too. They have a second vineyard (warmer site) in Los Gatos where they have Bordeaux varieties, which they produce under the Lexington label which are impressive, too.
House Family is on a lower ridge top in Saratoga, not far from Mount Eden. Appointment only during the week. Mostly Bordeaux varieties, plus Chard, and they make a really good Pinot from a cooler site of theirs not too far away.
The tasting rooms (and shops with tastings) in the quaint town of Saratoga are open later than wineries.
In Los Gatos proper is Left Bend Winery. They're new and have been seeking out and sourcing from some pretty interesting/historic vineyards in the Santa Cruz Mountains. Really good Cabs, Pinots, Syrah, plus the world's best Carignane all the lemmings will taste right past without thought because it's not Cab. ;-)
