2016 may have seemed bad, but I think it may be a portent of things to come. I think you are going to see a lot of notable deaths going forward. The Baby-Boom generation was huge. Since WW-II, the entertainment industry (sports included) flourished, scientific advances exploded, there has been an exponential increase in media coverage to tell us about it, and we all have more leisure time to pay attention. But now the Baby Boom generation is at the age where the they start dying off (no offense intended to you old farts on the Forums ).
Don't be surprised to see the 2017 list of notable deaths to be just as long, or longer.
