was thinking..... Yes, lots of famous people died. Sports figures, entertainment figures, Nobel Prize winners, etc.
But, many people who were good people, important to their families, not famous, died as well. About 100,000 Syrians, many of whom were children and most of whom were non-combatants.
In the US, about 500 people were murdered in Chicago, 300 or so in Baltimore. 35,000 died in car wrecks, which are up this past year due to more driving and more distracted driving. Very few killed by foreign inspired terrorist organizations, but we go crazy when that type of event occurs.
Anyway, let's all try to be safe in 2017.
