1st edition of John James Dufour’s 1826 highly collectible “The American Vine-dresser’s Guide”. The Vine Dresser’s Guide was the first truly American text of it’s kind - the bible/holy grail of wine making.
Jean Jacques Dufour was the owner of the first commercial winery in the United States and this text was the result of a lifetime of research and experimentation into vineyard management and enology.
The book is extremely rare as the original printing was a small run of around 500. It is estimated that less than 50 copies exist. To the best of my knowledge this will be the 3rd copy of this text offered for sale in the past 20 years.
We have it listed at auction on ebay. Auction ends Sunday. https://www.ebay.com/itm/VINE-...-MAKING/173655515250
