Actually, quite the opposite. It may have been a bad bottle or bad storage, but this wine was somewhat oxidized and tired. The cork was fine. Deep golden amber color. The fruit and flavors were very rich, but the the finish was short and flabby. I'm not familiar with aged Z-H wines, so I'm not sure if this is what to expect or not, but younger Z-H has not been this disappointing.
The other wines were much better. Believe it or not, the 2013 Brys Dry Riesling was killer, and by far the best of the three whites. The Clos de la Roche was also very grand!
