We saw Youth last night, and loved it.
I've really liked Michael Caine since I saw him in Alfie many, many years ago; I think last night I saw him in what might be his best role yet. The dialogue was interesting, and left us thinking about, and discussing, the vagaries of old age, and the reflections of past loves. The film also contains beautiful cinematography with some memorable scenes.
On the other hand, my daughter thought it said nothing and went nowhere, but then, she suffers from youth. It's a good thing that there's a lot of different movies available for viewing.
