I think Affleck peaked in Dogma, which was a bit of self-parody. Funny how Matt Damon has grown and surpassed Affleck (the pretty boy) as an actor.

I agree Affleck sucks as an actor. However... Gone Baby Gone, which he directed, was brilliant, imo.
