Just got back from 2 nights in Vegas for a work conference. First night with a buddy at Cut. Still my favorite of the higher end steakhouses. Had an excellent crab and shrimp starter with some puligny montrachet off the by the glass list. American wagyu ribeye was fantastic and cut my have the best onion rings on the planet. 2009 Produttori del Barbaresco Barbaresco Riserva Montefico was great with the steaks and not the worst pricing I’ve seen for Vegas. I love the char on the steaks at Cut.
Next night at Milos was sooo f’ing good. I’ve been to the NY version but it’s been awhile. Best octopus I’ve ever had and the grilled sea bream main was perfectly prepared. Loved all the sides and other starters as well. Also tried a few Greek whites from ktima that were great with the food. Not cheap but also not something that you can really replicate at home so well worth the tariff.
Stayed at the Wynn. Rooms were nice and spacious but man I hate walking through casinos to get to places. Seemed like the smoke was worse than the last time I stayed there.
Good write up...going in a week and will try Cut. Have reservations at Prime ( never been to a Jean George rest)so looking forward to that. Staying at the Trump hotel (jokes welcome)...but really like it as it has no casino or smoke!
