Surprised to hear those Oreno drank well. Sitting on multiples of both and at last check in the tannins are no where near resolved.
Funny, the 2008 started out as soft as a lamb. As the evening progressed, the tannins came on more noticeably. They were very fine, and the wine was absolutely singing by the last sip. The 2010 started out very tannic. At about the same point of the evening, say... 2-3 hours after decanting, the tannins resolved more and the wine was lovely. Both have a long and lovely future, for sure. Keep in mind that all the wines were tasted with burnt cow, charred vegetables, browned mushrooms and cheesy spuds. Tannin mitigators, perhaps??
