Last night, at a Super Tuscan themed cookout with Festiva, cometspider, Gentleman farmer, Meringue and Bieds:

Starter Whites:

  • 2013 Rhys Alpine Chardonnay
  • 2016 Littorai Chardonnay Sonoma
  • 2016 Cervaro Castelo della Sala

Appetizers included a cheese plate, caprese salad and pan con tomate with serrano.

Reds:

  • 2001 Sassicaia
  • 2008 Oreno
  • 2010 Oreno
  • 2008 Paleo Rosso
  • 2004 Tignanello
  • 2006 Ornellaia
  • and a blind pouring of a 1988 Badia a Coltobuno Sangioveto

Served with 3" thick, perfectly cooked MONSTER Tomahawk Bone-in Ribeyes, potatoes au gratin, broiled brussels sprouts and sautéed mushrooms with red wine and basil.

Dessert:

  • 1990 Ch. Suduiraut Sauternes

With a wonderful bread pudding, made by our resident dessert-master, Gentleman farmer.

Every wine, every damn one would have made a memorable evening.  For them all to show this well in such august company, along with a repast of this caliber was yet one more memorable evening with a group of gentlemen who I am proud to call my friends.  A couple of pictures are attached.  I have more, but can't figure out how to post or convert the &%$^ ing HEIC images from my &$#% ing iPhone to a format that I can post here.
