How did this one turn out at dinner?


Jacques Prieur is not one of my favorite producers, but his wines usually are solid and a good value. I don't remember what I paid for it, but I'm sure I bought it at release. The wine had a magnificent nose. Lots of fruit and acidity to age for years longer. Smooth in the manner of the greatest Burgundies, but lacking the showstopping pizzazz of the best. I'd give it a 94 with the possibility of another point or two in the future. I think it's in its drinking window but might improve a bit more.


Thanks for the note Board-O. That sounds pretty tasty, and good to hear. It's challenging finding older Burgs that are still good, not having bought them back at release.
