As a fellow Brunllo fan, I'll provide the "bump" on this.
I have not tasted any 99's yet, but my main store is getting Banfi's and Frescobaldi's next week. I'll try one to get an initial feel. I'd be interested to compare notes.
I think JS (responding to my vintage thread last week) said the next WS issue is all Brunello. Vintage rating and all. Maybe I'll try my first 99 as I read the issue.
