Reply to "It's Official - DC has the worst drivers...."

Since I handle auto accident cases, both for injured persons and for insurance companies, I am most grateful for the horrible driving in Maryland. It puts food on my table and wine in my cellar. I don't practice in DC, but many of those drivers sneak into Maryland.
I remember a case once where a driver continued straight despite a sign which said, "ROAD CLOSED". Big sign.
At his deposition he acknowledged that he saw the sign. (You really couldn't miss it). He was then asked why he went straight. He said, "I was confused by the sign. I didn't know what it meant."
The 4 lawyers around the table looked at each other. The next question was, "Besides meaning that the road was closed, can you tell us any other meaning that the sign may have had?"
The witness said, "I was confused. I just couldn't figure it out."

This is what makes Maryland drivers stand out.
