2015 Fattoria di Felsina Berardenga Maestro Raro
How was the 2015 Maestro Sunny? I would expect excellence in the vintage but no doubt young?
I could only do an hour slow ox. All the elements were there, but it was disjointed. Revisited it the next night and it had come together nicely. My first Maestro and I was impressed. I have three more that I’ll bury for at least five years, if not longer.
I've had a 97 and 07 before, both of which I drank at about 10 years of age, and they were excellent. Really elegant style of cab. Hopefully the SAQ will bring in the 2015 which is where I bought the above mentioned bottles. Did you get yours at the LCBO, private import or the US?
US from Envoyer in July 2018, delivered last month. FWIW, despite the strong vintage, Galloni gave the 2015 an average review. He gave the 2011-2014 scores of 94-95+, but the 2015 was a 90. "The warm vintage has baked out most of the varietal character this wine can show in more favorable years..."
