Did a little cellar organizing over the last couple of weeks. Ran across a dozen forgotten 375s buried in the back of the coolers. Tonight with dry rubbed St. Louis ribs:
2005 Beringer Private Reserve. Smoking good. Dense. Moderate tannins. Perfect with the meat and sides.
2007 Chalk Hill Estate Red. Punching way above its price point. Simply lovely.
fwiw, neither of these wines were guzzled.
