I think Parcival has worn off on my palate but I quite enjoy some of these cults. They're super distinctive, but at the same time, buy one at the cheapest price you can get because they do all start tasting the same.
In terms of price though, I see some of the wines the folks are drinking. Diamond creek comes to mind. that wine is never cheap. Still isn't cheap, and probably never will be. But I see alot of folks trying their first aged DC wine and are pretty much surprised by how much they like it. So it's almost tough to set a hard limit on price considering wine in general is, in my opinion, a vice. You won't find any new wines that taste like an aged DC.
Well duh, even new DC doesn't taste like aged DC...
It will be interesting to try a Scarecrow or MacDonald with 30+ years of age on them (though I would put these wines in a different category from Schrader/Tusk/other cult fruit bombs)
i mean that's the point, why chase the labels if you can just pay up for a btl that you know will age. I'm acutlaly surprised alot of folks we offline with prefer Cali's instead of Bdx.
