Chinese cuisine likely the best in the world….a very close second would be Italian. Cannot understand why French is so revered (other than technique)…just don’t really care for it.

Generally the idea is that french cuisine was probably one of the first cuisines to really codify a series of steps, classification and preparation of various types of dishes with the scientific purposes of figuring out how to mix and match the various preparations.

I don't believe many cuisines have really yet to still undertake such endeavour.
