I wrestled with the same issue. Not saying I came to the best conclusion, but I buy the $100 jobs and replace when needed. I probably average 24 months between replacements.

Marcb7 and I texted about this before he posted this question. I'm hoping he pulls the trigger on an expensive one that he will test run for me. Wink


I settled on a very functional 4 watch winder sold by Brookstone. About $200, and it has multiple adjustable settings for the winder.


Does it wind in both directions? I have two watches that require this.


Indeed. The adjustability is quite extensive.
