I take Prilosec OTC, it works somewhat. The problem is you are only supposed to take the two week course every four months. After about two I am back to downing Rolaids by the handful. When I first went to the doctor for throat pain, I could barely talk, and was coughing constantly. I thought that I had strep, nope acid eating away my esophagus. I have been thinking about going back and getting something stronger, but I'm the type who only goes to the doctor when on my death bed.
