2008 Il Poggione Brunello di Montalcino - this was fantastic. Probably another two or three years from the tannins being fully integrated, but wow. Gorgeous nose of dark cherries and leather.
And back at my place for a closer, 2008 Azelia Barolo. Nice enough, but not my cup of tea. Like Bordeaux, once the remaining Baroli I have are consumed, they are unlikely to be replaced.
