Interesting pairing. I've had BB with Cotes du Rhone once or twice, but otherwise have always paired it with PN. And anyone who knows me who read the last sentence is likely snickering.
re: chili and pasta, there was a familiar sequence in my college dorm cafeteria. One day early in the week, they'd make hamburgers. The next day, there'd be chili on the menu. In a day or two...chili mac. They weren't fooling anyone.
