No other tournament can match the excitement of the U.S. Open, which is why I consider it the greatest of the all the Majors. The night matches have provided some of the most memorable moments in tennis history.

We will repeatedly hear about the 1991 U.S. Open this week and the great run that Jimmy Connors had at age 39. And while it was certainly exiciting watching Connors dispatch the likes of (Patrick) McEnroe, Michiel Schapers, Karel Novacek, and Paul Haarhuis on his way to the semi-finals, I vividly remember how easily Jim Courier beat him in their match.

Then, when it seemed like Courier was the strong favorite in the Final, the always understated Stefan Edberg, the last great and true serve-and-volley men's player, absolutely stifled Courier in the Final to win his first of two consecutive U.S. Open titles.

I like Serena Williams and Djokavic to win this year.
