- 2008 Domaine du Possible Côtes du Roussillon Villages C'est pas la mer à boire - France, Languedoc Roussillon, Roussillon, Côtes du Roussillon Villages (10/15/2010)
– popped and poured into a decanter immediately before tasting –
– tasted non-blind, with a few rough agitations of the decanter, over 2.5 hours –
NOSE: salty funk/garrigue; some gentle cool red berry fruit.
BODY: medium-light bodied. Purple color of medium depth.
TASTE: Light; fresh; some animale/leather funk, but not bretty; some wood on the finish; tannins are drying, but not aggressive; faint raspberry on the palate; picked-up additional fruit notes as it sat in the decanter, but remained medium-light to medium bodied throughout. Overall, a very pleasurable bottle that paired well with many of our courses, and was a beautiful pairing with our lamb course.
