2005 Ignaz Niedrist Lagrein Berger Gei

87 points: Mineral, earth, lavender, anise, mineral, blackberry, unsweetened chocolate. A little bit of a funk, tough to to be specific but musky and compost like. Drinking this in the neighborhood of cellar temperature is best to keep this quality in check. An interesting wine. Mild tannin and acid, mouthfeel is a little powdery at times.
