1995 Leroy Vosne-Romanee Aux Brulees

Perfect cork. Decanted for two hours. No bricking at all, rich nose with some bacon and black fruits. Throwing some light sediment. Very, very elegant yet plenty of structure, may even improve a bit but can certainly be enjoyed right now. Extremely long finish. 95 points. Not many people have had this wine. This was bottle #27 out of a total bottling of 292 bottles!

From the back label-"This wine is a product of biodynamic vineyard. This method prohibits use of all chemicals, including weed killers, pesticides and synthetic fertilizers and also reintroduces the importance of the knowledge of the earth's cycles and cosmic rythyms throughout the year. This wine was bottled the traditional way and may therefore a noble and natural sediment at one point in its evolution. This is a sign that the wine is alive, and to prevent the formation of sediment by filtration or any other means is to take away its life and character. This wine must be kept at a constant temperature between 53F and 60F and at a hygrometry rate of 80 to 85% minimum. Only when those two conditions are met, can the wine reach its full potential".
