Picked this up in a wine shop I was pouring at tonight in SLO. $25, listed 14.7% abv. Sadly, only 8 barrels (~200 cases) were produced.
First pour: nose of brett, sweat, and funk.
5 mins later after pouring first glass: Smack my a** and talk dirty to me! Reddish purple in color. Sexy, spicy nose displaying an interesting combination of bubble gum and minty toothpaste mixed with briary red fruit and a touch of barnyardy brett. Medium bodied, fleshy, gripping palate showcasing more briar berry, a solid nerve of acidity and no trace of hyper-ripe fruit, jammy-ness or heat. Call her slutty with a touch of class as she digs her nails across my tongue on the way down the hatch while dropping pinches of spice before begging for an encore.
Now that's my type of Zin!

Nice. We picked up a few of these in February when we visited the area, along with some other of their wines. Very nice winery making good wines at good prices. Their Renegage Red is one of the better sub $10 wines we have found.
