Bacchus is the Roman god of wine, he represents not only the intoxicating power of wine, but also its social and beneficent influences; he is also the promoter of civilization and lover of peace.

NEXT TASTING: SEE WEB SITE

Please make your reservation with Ed McGaugh 061 361 24 72 or 079 419 50 82 or wine@ch-usa.com

Description: We taste our wines "blind" and unwrap them only after they have all been tasted. The BBC is a nonprofit club, we do not sell wines and there are no membership fees or duties.

When: We meet monthly, always on a Friday evening at 6:30 but dates vary depending on availability of the room, so check the website for the next tasting.

Where: At the beautiful "Im Lohnhof 8" building just off Barfusserplatz in old town Basel.

What Do I Bring?: Each person must bring ONE bottle of wine, any style...any color...any country...any price. Wines should be wrapped in foil or paper to hide the label. If you bring white wine, please try to bring it pre-chilled if possible because we have a limited ice supply. If you want to take notes please bring a pen and paper.

How Much Does It Cost?: 12 CHF per person, which covers the cost of the room rental and the cheeses, salami, pate and bread etc...

Objectives: Have fun and socialize with other wine-lovers of all nationalities and learn about wines you might never buy on your own.

To be placed on the mailing list contact Ed McGaugh 061 361 24 72 or 079 419 50 82 or wine@ch-usa.com .

Please drink responsibly.
