Renault to face race fixing Charges. I find this hard to believe, more likely that Nelson is an upset little jerk. Would he really have crashed on command?

Piquet should be done any where. Now explain this. Why is Rossi picked for 2nd seat at Monza when Fischella was already announced? Silly season

He isn't. It was revealed today that he had talked to them about doing Monza, but declined. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/h...mula_one/8239654.stm

Hamilton's last corner 'brain fart' allowed me to win this week's F1 pool, and mathematically put him OUT of the championship race. It's now down to Button, Barrichello, Vettel and Weber. I'm gunning for the elder statesman.

It didn't look like he did anything different going over that curb than he and others had been doing all race. My guess is something broke. Great to see Brawn doing well again, and for Rubens to be allowed to earn some victories. Hope they keep him next year.

Renault Ah Sh%* Looks like something hit the fan!! Britore and Symonds are both out of team, and team will not contest Piquet accusations. Time for Alosno to leave http://www.pitpass.com/fes_php...php?fes_art_id=39026

Holy crap, Flavio is either extremely stupid or arrogant to think he could get away with this. Actually he comes across as both in this case. Ask one of your drivers to crash on purpose, that's simply crazy. F1 has become such a mess in the last year and a half.

Renault's racing team management must be decimated. It makes you wonder where the team will be in 2010? Alonso must also be feeling the heat and risk being questioned like he was in the "McLarengate" hearings. F1 2010 could be a very different place, no BMW, no Moseley and maybe no Renault? With Toyota's business conditions and poor race results you'd have to fear for them as well.

Rumour has it that Alonso signed with Ferrari last year, and that Ferrari is trying to rationalize paying $40m for a Fiat rally driver (Kimi) for next year. Piquet Jr. is finished in F1 and Flavio has enough cash to push a libel lawsuit right down the Piquet family throat. Flavio is arrogant and flamboyant, but I'm not sure he would trust a kid to throw a race and keep quiet about it. He could easily have done something else to help Alonso. But if he is guilty, then he should be severly punished. You're right, F1 next year will look very, very different. And unfortunately, I don't think it will be a good different.

Flavio banned for life form anything FIA does. Manager, track side etc. Symonds banned for 5 years. At least Renault can still participate howver thay are under a 2 year suspension threat. Alonso was a mea culpa and not blamed either by FIA or Piquet snr. Time to go racing again.

I think Alain Prost will be the interim principal at Renault F1, but I've heard rumours that Renault wants out of F1 anyway. They only want to be an engine supplier. This latest drama may be their way out. Also, Briatore can no longer represent Kovalainen or Weber (and a few other no-names). They both/all need to find new managers. This is probably why Flavio bought into the Queen's Park Rangers football club, knowing his F1 days were probably numbered.

Renault get 2 year suspended sentence and NPJr walks away. Benneton's possible illegal use of traction control in 1994 and Renault's acquisition of competitor information in 2007 also being highlighted. Is there a link? Seems to me Ron Dennis needed to fall on his sword much earlier and save McLaren $100m! Will NPJr get a drive in any Formula now? Will Dave Richards return to F1 and manage Renault? Rumours are that Raikonnen will be at McLaren in 2010 (wonder what he will be paid if Ferrari honour his $41 contract for 2010 to remove him?) Will his motivation improve, his personality bypass is certainly too far gone! Rosberg in at Brawn in 2010? Rubi better make the 2009 championship his! Will we see Renault, Toyota and "phoenix" BMW in 2010 and what engine supplies will be available apart from Ferrari, Mercedes and Cosworth? Williams promote the idea of a 3rd car on the grid reserved for "rookies". Roll on Crashgate 2!

I disagree about Dave Richards. He did well at BAR but was "ousted" by the Honda regime and Nick Fry. They made a b*lls of it until Ross Brawn stepped in to bail Nick Fry out.

He started a factious battle within the team that lasted his entire stay. Pretty big failure, if you ask me. He succeeded when he built his own team, but failed stepping in at Benetton and then again at BAR. I doubt he's learned from his mistakes.

Another procession and once again the safety car has a significant impact on the race. IMO Singapore is a waste of space as a motor racing circuit however impressive it looks at night. How it looks [as opposed to how it drives] is about all that can be said for it although Hamilton did drive an immaculate race with both Vettel and Alonso doing well in the circumstances. Not sure how Vettel gets the same penalty as Rosberg [both when second] and yet Rosberg seemed to be doomed by his but Vettel got right back to where he was before. Perhaps something else happened to Rosberg that I missed? Oh and Bernie and Luca di Montezemolo apparently think Briatore's punishment is too severe And Max has let him know he can appeal. Well who would have guessed that?

OH it is over?? So boring. Hate these processions. Need more tracks where passing is possible. Hey according to Bernie and his medal system, the year is over!! Jensen Won the championship.
