I think she is attractive. I also found her speech to be incredible. It really isn't easy for a woman to give an argumentitive, assertive speech, maintaining her femininity, without coming off as bitchy; yet she was able to do it perfectly. Bravo!

Speeches last night were blah, imo. I expected more from Warner. I've never been particularly impressed with Hillary as a speech giver... never saw her appeal. I think she was fine, just nothing impressive.

Deep down, I believe Hillary would like Obama to lose this election, then she can have another shot at The Title in 2012.

As for her speech...P-E-R-F-U-N-C-T-O-R-Y!

I posted the same thing yesterday in the DNC thread before it was deleted. I didn't see her speech, but wouldn't be surprised if she didn't reach out to Obama more. On paper, the 2 are almost identical in terms of politcical beliefs. If she really meant anything she said in the primaries, it seems to me that she would be doing more to get Obama elected. Indy, what do you think?

Keeno,

I liked the speech, but you all know that. What Hillary didn't say, and conservatives are having a field day with, is the fact that she never did call Obama the next Commander in Chief, or talk about his experience. Experience is the thing that people will be ALL OVER Obama about this fall, and will be a major line of demarcation for many voters. I'm (surprise, surprise) not that concerned that he doesn't have 20 years in the US senate. Dubya (who many here seem to love), had zero national executive or legislative experience when he became Commander in Chief, but nobody talks about that, neither did Bubba (a good president if you can get past the sloppy BJ), Ronald Reagan, or FDR.

I think Hillary did what she needed to do last night. If she were in front of the cameras stumping for Obama 24/7, she would be accused of being disingenuous, and scheming for media face time. Sure, she's probably sizing up 2012, but I don't believe for a minute that she would rather McCain be elected as a set-up to her run in four years. The primaries are messy, and I'm sure the Dem strategists have a bunch of "ah ha!" video clips locked and loaded for when McCain announces his running mate Friday.

I'm sure there'll be a dozen "IB's an idiot" posts this afternoon. Roll Eyes

IB you are an idiot. Big Grin Actually I don't believe that at all, you mean well but are just blinded by ideology.

Now as for what you wrote, Clinton, Bush and Reagan were all Governors. They all had experience being in charge. Being a state senator doesn't cut it for me. I wouldn't trust my state reps to run a McDonalds. As for Obama's time in the US Senate, was he there long enough to learn anything before he decided to run for president? Plus I personally don't agree with any of his policy choices, not that that has anything to do with his being qualified. Which he is NOT.

I was actually going to ask cdr if it was tough finding folks that share his views in Berkeley. I don't know if you were just ribbing VT2IT, but I was seriously wondering how cdr tolerates it. cdr?

I am not even sure what owning so many houses has to do with being President and being a leader of this country. Where was the liberal media questioning John Kerry about the several houses he owned when running for the presidency? Yes, just what I thought, not a question about.

Unlike the liberal elite in the media, McCain actually had no house for 5 1/2 years, as he spent it in a cell as a P.O.W. How about Obama, he took money from a convicted felon to help pay for his multi-million dollar mansion in Ill.

I certainly am not thrilled about this election in the two choices we have for the presidency, neither one of these two are ones I voted for in the primary, but one thing is, in viewing these two, Barack Obama will never be 1/100th the man John McCain is.

Someone in here mentioned that the Democrats are the the party of the common man and the Republicans are the party of the rich. Interesting, why are so many rich Hollywood actors Democrats??? Truth is, neither of these parties truly represent the working class American.

Both these parties play on instilling fear into their followers, and we all get trapped into voting for the lesser of two evils instead of a truly good candidate. What is depressing is, out of 280 million people in this country, this is all the better we can do for our choices for President???

I acftually split time between living just outside of Phoenix, Arizona, and a small town in the Coachella Valley. I also spend a lot of time at my brother's house in Sonoma County.

The Bekeley is just for fun. I have listed Peoria, Caracas, Marin and other communist paradises as my home as well.

Almost all of the neighbors in Sonoma are tree hugging lefties and we go at it occasionally.

THere are thousands of unassuming, frugal people with large numbers of rental homes. The number of homes one has is completely irrelevant.

When you are the emptiest suit the democrat party has ever rolled the dice on, you need to try everything to divert attenti0n away from your lack of intellect, values and experience.
