Cool We rarely have them where I'm located, so, in the rare instance when they occur, I absolutely love them...

Thunderstorms are great. Especially day time ones. Nothing better than a hot sticky humid late day where you can't breathe - Then slowly dark clouds are visable out in the distance as they approach, you hear a low thunder ripple ever so faintly like an approaching Godzilla Smile The wind starts kicking up and the temp seems
to drop 20 degrees in a snap. You hear the tree leaves blowing, then take cover and just watch and listen. Big claps of thunder, lightening that lights up the whole sky and then some serious rain that pops back up from the ground when it hits.

Nice! Wow. I never realized how much I really liked them until I just wrote that. Big Grin

...like 'em, yes.... EXCEPT when flying - which has happened a few times and created 2 of my worst 15 minute stretches of my life.... Eek

Love them, not as much as being out in a major snowstorm, but love to watch and listen.

We are about to have a nasty storm here. The rain is appreciated. I love the buildup to a good thunderstorm. The wind, darkening sky, thunder, etc. is pretty cool and dramatic. I hope we don't loose power . . .
