I'm also in Roger's corner, but not very confident.

Perhaps a changing of the guard on grass, but I hope not.

Alas, I fear the worst (Nadal win). I don't know if I can watch.

Fear not, simply embrace (accept) the way things really are. Smile

Looking bad for Federer (sorry Een), at the rain delay.

Watching the women's doubles replay now. I haven't seen the result, but Stosur and Raymond look confused Confused out there against the Williams sisters.

May have to wait until tomorrow to settle this one.
How did Roger lose the second set up 4-1?
I think it was because I was watching. I went to lunch and he won the next two sets.

That was one of the greatest, if not THE greatest, tennis match ever.

Wow.

Great match. Roger had his opportunities. In fact he drove he nuts in that final set. Too many unforced errors if you can call them that when you're playing Nadal.

A changing of the guard.

Sorry W + A, I watched and take full responsibility.

Can you imagine how good a cold beer will taste to Nadal!

I just finished watching the match (DVRs are a great invention).

I have been an avid tennis fan for over 23 years. I have watched countless matches in every Grand Slam tournament during that time, not to mention other clay, grass, hardcourt, and indoor tournaments. I have only witnessed the 1980 Wimbledon Borg-McEnroe match courtesy of replays. I can say - without a doubt - that today's final was the greatest match I have ever seen. It was a real privilege to watch two great champions play at such a high level, on the greatest stage in tennis.

I am very happy for Nadal. He has obviously worked very hard to adapt elements of his game to the grass courts. He is a deserving champion and has helped to establish one of the great rivalries in sports. Let's hope that he can find a way to win on the hardcourts leading up to Flushing Meadows. How incredible would it be to see these two play again in the U.S. Open Final?

I am not a big tennis fan, but I was completely engrossed watching the 5th set. Made me take much longer to grade essays....

Was marginally rooting for Roger - but I like both of them a lot - MLV was firmly for Rafa. It was a great match, and I think Rafa deserved to win it -

Both are class acts.
