Spent many hours around a camp fire at Lime Rock, Loudon, Roand Atlanta, THe Glen and other places eating his pasta [and Momo's], talking, and drinking Buds. Had a few parties at house as part of New England region racing fraternity. He was [is] still a private man away from movies.



His success on the race track in Datsun [as part of the Sharp team] as national champ SCCA for many years, Daytona etc. will never be surpassed.



When he passes I'll raise a Bud in his honor.

I'm sorry to hear this. He's a good, generous man, though a highly over-rated actor, imo.

Yes, best of luck to Mr. Newman. One of the all-time great actors and philanthropists. Yes, he was a former chain smoker.
