I looks like I will be making quite a few trips to Vienna over the next 5 months. I haven't been there since 2005, but the only good wine shop I had found then was a shop called Vinothek St Stephan (next to St Stephans Church). It had a good selection of Austrian wines but not much else.

The only good Austrian wines I have had are all white and, if I am going to spend a whole lot of time there, I need to find a store that has a good selection of reds from various other countries in Europe. Anyone have any suggestions?

And I need an update on restaurant suggestions as well.

This thread looks like it is reaching THE TIPPING POINT and is about to disappear onto the next page.

Meanwhile I found an interesting idea about touring the wine cellars at Coburg. This is one of my favourite places to eat in Vienna, and they have an amazing wine cellar. Here is the link.
