Thanks! It was indeed a tourney, but it was open bar, and in the 100 degree heat, there were not many that stuck around afterwards. Needless to say I got off lucky! I did by a round on the course though for our foresome... -mJ

Randall and Vine is a really nice store - located at Randall and County Line, just down the street from GCI. They're also building a Binny's in Algonquin that is supposed to open this year. That could be dangerous. There are a couple of other shops that have opened on Randall, but nothing to write home about.

My club's greens were running at 12+ for most of May. My putting stroke (needless to say almost all were back down the green, shots that came up short usually rolled back off the green) became a 3 inch stab with a scream. I cannot imagine greens at 14.

Ok everyone, up here in NH we have had 2 months to warm up so our season is well under way. What tourneys do you all have at your club that are "the tourney" that everyone looks forward to playing?

We have 2 at my club, the one coming up this weekend which is a pick your own partner member member, its a 2 day with a calcutta, around 10-12K in the pot.

The 2nd one is our 3 day member-guest which is basically a frat party on a golf course with lots of money. This year we have the Bud girls serving us drinks Wink

Our 3 day member guest at my home club in Illinois was always the big tourney of the year. Lucky Deuces was always the kick off to the season though, and that was a lot of fun with all the prizes and what not. -mJ
