I stayed there about two years ago and enjoyed it. Please note, though, that my firm paid for the stay and I have absolutely NO idea how much the damage was. I stayed in one of the cottages off to the side of the main resort along the fairway of one of the golf holes. Just loved sitting out on the patio, sipping vino, and watching people play golf.
In terms of location, I was in the cottages immediately to the left of the resort (if you're standing outside in the parking area, looking at the main entrance).
The kobe burger in the bar is awesome, BTW!
Cheers!

BRR, thanks, we are looking at the 2 bedroom suite $405 per night! the kids will be with us! need pool an things we will at a wedding before in Pleasonton for three nights then back too San Fran at the St. Francis Westin for two nights thanks again for the help
I have stayed and played golf there plenty of times. If you are going to play golf, they have recently spent a lot of money upgrading the courses - and they are now in pretty nice shape.
I have also done the spa thing (DnVsMom wanted to - don't ask). Don't waste your time.
The grill (off the pro shop) has really been upgraded IMO, but then again, as you know, there are plenty of other restaurants in Napa.
If you are going to do any tasting, it is pretty convenient, although I am not sure if you want to do that with the twins in tow.
Hope this helps a bit....

I have stayed at this resort a number of times (never with children). I've always been extremely pleased with everything. The restaurant is wonderful and the golfing is great as well. To read a full review of this resort go to: http://www.cheers2wine.com/silverado-resort.html

if so, did you like it or not?
thanks for all the info reasons need two bed rooms!
We have stayed there a couple of times. If you are a golfer, it is convenient and the staff is very nice. However, we found the rooms to be a bit tired and in need of a serious upgrade. We stayed in the rooms by the tennis courts to the right as you enter the facility. We have since stayed at the Harvest Inn in St. Helena (2005)and the Villagio in Yountville (2007)with the later being our favorite - good location, nice room, great breakfast buffet.
