they looked good, followed the Bills defensive scheme, ie pressure Brady, except they did what Buffalo could not; close out their opponent.

Their defense looked really good. I wasn't impressed with their offense but with a defense like that who needs it? Just let the rookie manage the game and theyre going to be better than I thought this year. The crowd was big too. They forced a lot of un-Patriot like penalties today. Good riddance to the meadowlands.

Patriots should be 0-2...

Jets looked very good. Sanchez definitely looks like a better pick than Jamarcus Russel, Vince Young, or Leinart.

the offense wasn't impressive? Sorry, but the second quarter the jets offense owned.

Actually they shoulda had another touchdown but one was a rookie mistake and the other one was a receiver that isn't as talented as some of the other receivers in the league.

The pats should be 0-2.

The second quarter the Jets had the ball for 5 1/2 minutes and got three points. That's owning the quarter?

The Jets didn't have a 100 yeard rusher and Sanchez had 163 yards. They had 1 TD and 3 field goals all game. That's good in your book? That's not good offense in the NFL. It was good enough to beat the Pats because the Jets defense was great but it's at best average offense, not, as I said, "impressive" by any stretch of the imagination.

I'm settled down, rather deflated after the loss actually but aren't I allowed to give my opinion? One good drive and a couple field goals still isn't impressive. I'm not putting them down, it was great game management by a rookie QB. Maybe we just have different definitions of impressive but that offense got their only TD in the first minute or two of the half and stumbled along killing clock but couldn't put the nail in the Pats coffin. Usually that comes back to bite teams, not this time, thanks to the Jets D, not O. Good win for them, glad you were impressed. I'm allowed not to be. Maybe it's just the standard of impressive I'm used to in New England that's clouding my vision. Can't wait until they meet again in Foxborough.

did you watch the game or are you just speaking randomly?

the 2nd field goal, the jets should have gotten the touchdown but chalk it up to a rookie mistake.

the 3rd field goal where the jets marched from their own 8 yard line to go down to the pats 22. If Leon broke one tackle they would have extended it.

This is against what's suppose to be a very good pats D, or are you short changing that the Pats have a good D?

Pats lost too many players on D, this is not the same defense.

So what, the Jets D looks awesome and if Sanchez can continue to play like he did in the second half... or better... the Jets will be quite the team.

It's called sour grapes, sore loser, etc. We're used to it.

Yes, you are

No. it's just your usual sore loser, sour grapes whining.

I don't root for the Jets, but I did enjoy the game.

Sore loser BO? I said they looked like a good team, better than I thought and their D was great but their offense wasn't impressive. Did it impress you, all 16 points and 254 yards of it? WTF else am I supposed to say to not be a sore loser in your tri-focal covered eyes and adled mind? Stating facts and statistics and saying they had a great defense and a good game managing offense is now whining? You're losing what's left of your lonely hate filled old mind. God your a miserable human being. How's this for you...Man I'm telling you those Jets are superbowl bound. Rivers, Breeze and Sanchize should all split the AFC offensive player of the week. They ran wild for 250 yards on the Pats today and ran up the score at will to 16 points and could have scored 50 if they wanted to but their defense was so good they laid down after 16 because it was all they needed. The Pats 2007 scoring records are in serious danger this year with that offense. Straight to Miami I tell ya!

Yes G-Man I watched the game start to finish. The Pats defense isn't quite what it used to be, maybe you've heard of Harrison, Bruschi, Colvin (all retired) Vrable, Seymour, (Traded)Samuel, Hobbs (free agency), and Mayo (injured) who aren't around anymore? The guys they have are decent, and might turn out to be very good, but they have yet to step it up to the level of any of their last three suprebowl defenses.

An impressive offense doesn't get held to the field goals and make the mistakes, rookie or not. If they convert those red zone mistakes into TD's and If they break tackles and continue drives into the end zone that's impressive. Have the Jets been down so long 16 points and 254 yards is all it takes to impress you guys there? San Diego's offense, impressive. New Orleans' offense, impressive. The Jets ranking in the bottom third of the league for points this week, sorry, not impressive.

Oh good, another A-hole from NYC who because I don't agree with them I suddenly know nothing about anything. They seem to be pretty common around these parts. I said specifically their offense didn't impress me TODAY. Learn to read. We weren't discussing last week but change the argument around all you want until you have a valid point. I truely don't care and they they truely didn't impress me. I'm thrilled for you and your Jets all-knowing G-Man. 250 yards and 16 points is a hell of an offensive showing Roll Eyes. Tell me about more of what I don't know, BO doesn't do that enough.

i see, anybody who disagrees with you is now an a-hole from NYC.

Hey everybody, please read every single word that icewino posts because he's a genius and DEMANDS (I put this in bold in case anybody might miss what I'm writing) your 110% attention. But be careful, you might be called an a-hole if you have a different opinion then the whino.

No, you're an A-hole becuase of you're stupid remark saying "next thing you'll be telling me you know ice wine". The fact that you are from NYC and you and the other guy who always has differing opinions on sports decide to tell me I know nothing of wine or anything else is probably coincidental. I guess that's the witty put-down around these parts.

One more time, 250 total yards and 16 points is not IMPRESSIVE offense to me. Am I seriously the only one who thinks that? I'm pretty sure I'm entitled to that opinion even if you disagree. I said you had a great defense and a decent offense and you're bent out of shape about that? Relax.

The jets offense was impressive the second half and it's what i've been talking about the whole time. Do I imply that you read more clearly?

In the second half out of 5 touches, 3 went for scores.

The saints, out of 12 touches, 7 went for scores
58% success rate in scoring

The chargers, 6/11 went for scores. 54$ success rate in scoring.

Yea, for a rookie quarterback being able to put up some points 60% of the time? That is impressive.

If you weren't such an ass about how things are qualified as "good" in my book, we wouldn't be having this convo.

Save your holier than thou attitude for another time.

It is unfair to compare second half stats with full game stats of other games and draw some comparison between the two. For the whole game, the Jets had 11 possessions but will only count 10, and they scored 4 times, with one being a touchdown. If you want to go by halves, the Jets scored on one of 4 possessions, I won't include the 10 second possession at the end of the first half, that lowers the overall efficiency to 40% with 75% of that being field goals.

Hopefully Sanchez will be able to turn more of those FGs into TDs in the future. Time will tell.

He doesn't know anything about any kind of wine, dining, or travel. This loser's sole purpose is to come here and ridicule other posters' sport teams. Pitiful. It must make him feel better about himself.

I heard Gary V was going to send out a blow out special today on this wine. It got 90 points from a guy at the game on row 28 seat 14.

G-man, did you really just try to compare the Jets offense to the Saints offense? You should really not do that. NO should shatter all of NE records from 2 years ago. The Jets looked good and it was a great win. Lets not get too carried away though.

Sports talk radio is going to be miserable down here this week. Mad

Jets offense is definitely no saints offense, was simply saying that the jets offense in the second half was impressive, where they still scored on 60% of their touches in the second half with a rookie qb.
