Here is how Cable's case is different than Rothlisbeger, one lady acuses Rothlisberger and there are multiple instances of Cable's violence. The lady that accused Rothlisberger has been widely discredited.

Cable obviously hasnt changed in 20 years. He was violent and abusive. He is still violent and abusive. Hence, he is a douche.

A lady who has been widely discredited can not be raped?
No, it just makes it more likely that she is lying.

Quite the generalization.

So where does Madoff figure into this line of thinking? Widely respected person and how much is he accused of stealing in his ponzi scheme? How do you discern the so-called respectable people from the non-respectable people?

I would prefer that it be done through a court of law than through public opinion, talk radio, hearsay, etc. There are many who have faught and died for the right for a free trial. Most often, justice prevails and many trials are thrown out due to the lack of sufficient evidence to proceed with a trial. What is wrong with allowing due process?

Who discredited the lady? Are any names listed or only anonymous?

Fish got squished too. Too bad the Giants suck and couldn't get more out of the INT that ended up near the goal line or I could have a 2 game lead in the Caymus division.

No, it was an explanatin of how those two cases are very different. I promise you that plenty of journalists looking for a huge story looked into those accusations. If any of them had found anything they would have reported on it.

Dont change the subject. Cable is a douche. Razz

Giants are going nowhere. The Cowboys, with a QB who likes throwing to the opposition, are playing better ball, as are the Iggles.

I don't know if you got the memo but GA no longer allows editing around here.

That said the Giants have a QB who's the highest paid player in the league and they don't trust him to throw a 4 yard pass into the end zone. Good luck with that for the next 6 years.

Looking forward to the Pats/Colts this week. A great test to see where the Pats are really at. I expect Brady to have a huge game against their banged up secondary. Hopefully Manning doesn't have a bigger day against the Pats.

Didn't change the subject but did focus on your wanting to judge a person based on hearsay, innuendo, and generalizations. I prefer to let a court of law decide things which is what I initially stated. Why are both cases ongoing?

How much do you really know about Cable as a person other than what you have read in the media? Do you believe everything you read?

Do you want to make a judgement on ANYONE based on what you read in the media today?

Chargers are back to within 1 game for the AFC West, it will be a tough home game next week against an Eagles team that has to be ticked off after a bad home loss.

Every year the Pats have beaten the Colts since 2001 they have ended up in the Superbowl. Hopefully Brady tears apart their injured secondary tonight and the trend continues. Should be a great game with two of the all time best QB's going head to head again.

Great game tonight, well, other than the result. Frown Stupid to go for it on 4th down at the end there.

Fantastic game, Brady and Peyton put on a show. Bizarre call at the end to go for it on 4th down on their own 30, of course hindsite is 20/20 and if the Pats receiver didn't bobble the catch it would have been a genius call.

For my Bolts a great week, nice win against the Eagles with the Broncs losing in Washington creates a huge game next week in Denver.

I swear it looked like as time was about to run out that Belichick was checking to see if the alcohol was noticable on his breath. Smile

What an entertaining game that was!

Agreed. Great Colts win. The atmosphere in Lucas Oil was absolutely ELECTRIC.

And, go Chargers!

What a game!!!! What I took away from the game is NE is the better team but not by a whole lot. I loved that NE went for it to ice the game. I am a big proponent of going for it on 4th and short. What I dont get is why you arent throwing it to Welker or Moss who were both having great games.

Cincy is for real, picking up the win even with Benson hurt. Thats pretty impressive.

Is GB the most Jeckly and Hyde team in the NFL?

Good win for SD bad loss for Den. Doesnt look good for the Broncos.

Even though they won, the Dolphins still stink.

I like that the Pats go for it on 4th and short a lot more than most but I didn't like that call at all. I'd rather punt it away and make Manning drive 70-80 yards and have maybe 8-10 plays to make something happen or stop them as opposed to 3-4 from the 30 but that's what Bill does, he plays to win the game as opposed to not losing the game and it has worked more often than not.

I also felt like the Pats were the better team and could have really blown the Colts out without two turnovers in the end zone and a crappy interference call but that's the way the ball bounces. The Colts always play fundamentally well against the Pats, they haven't had a defensive penalty in the last 8 quarters called against them. I hope they meet again in the playoffs, I can't get enough of this rivalry and unlike the Yanks/Sox this one won't last forever.

The real question is; can any of these quarterbacks in the teams you mention above, hold Dan Marino's jock? Big Grin

Good post. I think the hoodie made a good call on the fourth. Giving Manning two minutes to drive 80 yards is a good way to lose a game. Good gamble that didn't work.

The Pats definitely outplayed the Colts, just not when it mattered. Hope they meet again in the playoffs, these games are fun to watch, even if the Pats do win the next one.

That would not be so fun for me to watch. Unless it was followed the next week by the Bolts destroying the Pats to advance to the Superbowl! Smile

Big Grin Well said! Me? I'm hoping the Chargers get the Colts in the post season, who they own. Chargers don't own the Pats. That said, if the Colts can win in Baltimore and Houston the next two weeks, the perfect season talk can commence.
