Remarkable how many Polynesians play NFL football. They grow them big.

Ted Ginn is NOT a big time WR.

Chad P delivered a soft pass right in his hands twice in the game, especially at the end, and he couldn't pull them in.

Time of Possession 45 min, and Miami still loses?????

Nothing surprises me with Peyton anymore. Nobody except Brady can consistently manage a game like that. And, I gotta say it, who came up with the nickname "The Sheriff?" WTF?

As a dolphins fan here is my take on the game:

1-the dolphins arent as bad as their record indicates and wont be at the end of the season. Toughest sched in the NFL.

2-that was the most pitiful 2 minute drill at the end of a game that I have ever seen. Horrible playcalling, no hustle, our #9 overall oick drops a TD pass that he gets both hands on Mad Mad Mad

3-watching them kick that field goal with about 4 min left there was no doubt in my mind Peyton was going to drive them down and score

4-Gruden needs to go away. He is VERY annoying

5-anytime you rush for 239 yds and hold the ball for over 45 min you must win the game.

6-at least it will be easy to go down to the stadium and scalp cheap tickets. Our fair weather fans will stop showing up now.

7-thanks to the dolphins rushing the game took less than 3 hours and I was in bed by midnight. Smile

Bolts need a bounce back against a pretty solid looking Dolphins team. Losing Jamal William is absolute poison for the run D, I suspect that Ronnie Brown/Bob Marley will run all over them so it will be up to Rivers and Tiny Darren to put up some big numbers again.

I would add that Gibril Wilson should have stopped 2 passes from becoming TDs and should have caught that deflected pass for an interception near the end of the first half. That would have saved us a Colts' field goal. He has been miserable the first 2 games and cost us big last night. I say start Culver or Clemons. Can't be worse than this guy.

No, we can't cover a TE, much less tackle one. That means it will be up to your boy Gates to eat our lunch. Tony Gonzalez smokes us in week 1 and then we give up 180 yards to Dallas Clarke? Unbelievable.

Yeah that first play of the game was pretty brutal (attempted) tackling. I think Miami really doesn't want to go 0-3 though so I see them pulling off a close one.

I love Chucky; wish he was still coaching the Raiders. Besides, would you rather have the overly-neurotic Kornheiser? Wink

Gruden is great, Jaworski is annoying.

Kornheiser is ok, but Jaworski seemed to constantly be on him about something as if he did not believe he should be there.

You might not like Jaws but he knows what he is talking about. In the week 1 game he said the defense the Bills were playing was leaving the middle wide open and Watson was going to eventually burn them. Next play was Watsons first TD. He is VERY good at his job.

Gruden annoyed me with his Sheriff Manning schtick all night long. I didnt mind Kornheiser but it was a poor match. I dont know why they dont just do a 2 man booth.

I kind of wonder about my vikings. They beat the two worst teams and were losing at halftime in both games. Cleveland and Detroit are just putrid. A plucky 49ers squad is coming in 2-0 to our home opener. Great matchup of Frank Gore and Peterson at the running back position. I hope we just play better in the first half. Favre hasn't done anything spectacular and we need to get the passing game going. At least he has no interceptions.

I don't get the Sheriff thing either. Isn't it the Mounties who always get their man?

The Patriots are struggling, hopefully they just need to brush off the rust. I'm not saying I like their struggles but it actually makes for more compelling TV this year. Of course I'd prefer they just roll along but it will be interesting to see what they are going to do to overcome a lot of deficiencies this year.

I like Gruden, but I need some time to get used to his style in the booth. I loved Kornheiser and I agree that Jaws is pretty much annoying. MNF was much better with Kornheiser for me, but it was very awkward chemistry with him and Jaws and one of them had to go...I just wish it was Jaws.

Jaworski over analyzes I think... I don't know, just rubs me the wrong way.

When Kornheiser was just doing PTI he would have Jaworski on frequently and Jaws would kiss Kornheisers ass and act all friendly. When they got in the booth together, Jaws seemed to constantly assert himself and dismiss Kornheisers views.

I don't know if you remember it, but when Aaron Rodgers first took over Kornheiser said, "You get the sense he is not only playing the other team but having to play against the legacy of Brett Favre." Jaworski called the statement idiotic and dismissed it, as he feels he knows what a Quarterback is thinking better since he was a QB.

I agree with you, feel the same way. Although I do not think Kornheiser should have been in the booth to begin with. I also think Gruden is just getting going. The only thing I have against Gruden so far is how he has to make flailing motions with his arms to emphasize his points.

Watch the next time Gruden is on and how he can't move his mouth without moving his arms, kind of funny.

Why is it MNF is the one with the perennial booth issues?

The Patriots and Brady didn't look great today but both looked a lot better today than the last couple weeks. Less bad throws for Tom today but they were still mixed in there, that and there were a lot of dropped balls. Red Zone offense was poor but at least it had the potential to be a big day. Defensively they held Atlanta to 10 points which is pretty good in my book. They're on the right track and more importantly I'm 2-1 in the Caymus division.

I always enjoyed reading Tony, but never enjoyed him in the booth or in person on his ESPN show.

Denver Broncos 4-12. It will take some luck, since I am only figuring them to be favored in three games. But almost every team pulls out one or two they have no business winning.

Since there are no worries about who they will be playing in the playoffs, I will refrain from playoff predictions.

Moo

So, how's that prediction workin' out for you Cow?

About as well as my call on GE, what's it to ya?

Three and oh? Three and oh?

Still not a believer. Then again, didn't see a single play since I was at Coors Field. And they have played a pretty weak schedule so far, even though they have done better than I predicted.

Moo
