I am looking forward to the series as well...I usually root for Pac 10/ teams from the West.

Disappointed Irvine lost the lead to LSU- hopefully they'll win tonight.

I always root against FSU and U of M.

I bet DnV's dad watches as well.

FSU has been kicking butt! Oops.. wrong FSU, it's Fresno State that's kicking butt along with UGA who were the two teams to go 2-0 and have the inside track to the championship game. MY FSU went 0-2 and barbeque. And it looks like UM is headed home tonight too so jgreen must be happy. UNC faces LSU for the right to replay Fresno (who's last RPI ranking was #89). While it looks like Stanford will be playing UGA. The high seeds are struggling.

Tied 3-3 in the ninth, UNC got a two out grand slam to beat LSU. The first CWS grand slam since 2001. Stanford must beat UGA twice and UNC must beat Fresno twice to advance to the final.

What he said.

The extra rest should help UG but I am pulling for the Cali dogs.

I thought UGA had a distinct advantage in pitching with the extra rest and FS's top pitcher being out...but they wore those guys out last night. 19 Runs- are you kidding me?

Pulling hard for Fresno State tonight...

Congrats to Fresno State. Talk about the underdog. I heard ESPN say on the first game of the UGA series, that Fresno was the lowest rated seed EVER to make it a final in NCAA history in ANY sport. And they won. The NCAA website showed an RPI ranking of #89 for the last week of the season. Now THAT's a Cinderella story.

Congrats to the Bulldogs!!!! I don't know what the bigger upset was - FSU winning the CWS, or Zito getting a win in Cleveland last night....
