Drove over the Confederation Bridge (quite the sight) from PEI to New Brunswick and then travelled the coast of NS towards Tatamagouche. My wife's aunt lives there so we stopped in for lunch and a few museum tours (could have skipped those). The lunch at the Train Station Inn was nice - their caboose rooms look like a fun place to spend the night.
Halifax was nice, but it could have been traveler's fatigue, but I preferred C-town in PEI. Good gelato (for the kids) and wine (for the bigguns) at A Mano on the waterfront.
Next day, we took the trip to Peggy's cove - the slightly longer trip along the west coast was worth it. This was an amazingly bleak part of the world. The rocks around the lighthouse are barren and the plant life is reminiscent of the tundra in the north. As I understand it the constant sea spray pulls so much moisture from the leaves, only certain plants can grow in this area. All in all, great trip...
