It's still going on, but Rivera's got a four run cushion. Congratulations Yankee fans, the owners finally bought you another ring!

Those centaur self-portraits cost a lot of money.

Too bad they can't get them for free, like the other owners.

syd, let the Yankee haters vent. They know, as we all do, that the best team won. The World Champion New York Yankees won the most games during the regular season in the toughest division in baseball. They won the marathon as well as the sprints, as they have so many times more than anyone else.

Just one more sip.

Not really a Yankee hater, just a Phillies fan. The Yankess played the better series and won. The Phils will be back next year, hopefully with a new closer and better starting pitching.

You know how parents name newborns after heroes and famous people?

I wonder if a lot of New Yorkers will be naming their kids "Hideki" for a while.

Not too much doubt - How bad does Joba blow? 0-2 count, here is a fastball down the middle, let me serve it up for you.

Hideki was an ok choice as MVP, but I think Rivera should have won it

I'm sure they will. They're more likely to be back than the Yankees. I'm an AL fan, but I don't ever remember a NL line-up as stacked with offensive talent as this year's Phillies team.

Just one more sip.

#27!

Amazing... more than the 2nd, 3rd & 4th place teams combined. Cool

Congratulations to the Yankees.

syd,

In the future, please do not refer to that song. It is an embarrassment to the great music of Blue Oyster Cult.

I disagree. The addition of Lackey as a new #2 starter will push the Yanks back into the Series.

The combined revenue of the new stadium and the YES network is an awesome force that none can hold back.

The Phils handled themselves with class.
