Answer: They don't. A-Rod gets healthy with Hamels on the mound. Cool

That is one more than Hoffman or Rivera, and they have been pretty successful. Razz

I have a lot of respect for Pedro. He's a great pitcher and deserves far better treatment from the fans.

Just one more sip.

Hamels will need to pitch more than 2 innings.

So true. Generally, first pitch: taken strike, right up the middle. Then, a steady diet of the so-called cut fastballs. Why TF can't major leaguers figure this guy out?

Because it looks like a nice fat pitch, so you swing, but when you hit it, it's actually in on your hands and your bat's busted and you are done.

Next guy up sees this and is determined to turn on the inside pitch, next thing he knows he is getting killed on the outside corner.

It's not just the pitch that is killer, it is his incredible control of the placement of it that does you in.

9-3 Yankees tonight.

A-Roid clubs one, so does Tex.

Late movement. The batter can't follow the ball with his eyes when it gets close to the plate and swings where thinks the ball will be. With Rivera, it's often elsewhere.

Just one more sip.

What's the point of the extra ump if he can't do the one or two things he's out there for? The fair/foul ball against the Twins and this home run. Pathetic.

I want the Yankees to lose but I don't want them cheated out of it.

Why the fark is a camera sticking out over the fence to begin with?

Freakin melky's plan for hitting success:

1) Watch pitch in middle of plate. Strike one.

2) Watch pitch in middle of plate. Strike two.

3) Swing wildly at the next pitch no matter where it is thrown. Strike three.

The winner of game three tends to bode well.

The Phillies now in a must win in my opinion.

The Yanks are definitely in controll of this one. As long as CC's arm doesn't fall off I don't see them losing three more games.

Tough one for the Phils last night, especially after goping up 3-0 and Hamels pitching so well for the first four innings.

I hope Blanton can come through tonight. His history against the Yankees is not very good. A must win for the Phillies.

Let's see...

CC gets knocked around a bit more tonight, and Howard parks one, but the damage is minimal, 2-3 runs. Every Yankee but Damon gets a hit. Blanton doesn't survive the third. Rout is on. 11-4 yankees.

Did I say Damon?

You can't tell me that they aren't hitting Arod on purpose. How he gets plunked three times that close together and a warning goes out to BOTH sides. Gee, that's fair.

Yeah, CC should be allowed to break someone elses fingers before the seasons over.

Damon's second stolen base was one of the most head's up plays I have ever seen.

Well done.
