Because, as a Red Sox fan, I had to get this little jab in.
But seriously, I think this will be a good series. I'm obviously rooting for the Phillies and Pedro (although I cringe at the thought of him pitching against an AL lineup in the Launching pad in Game 2).
I see on Yahoo that Jamie McCourt has filed for divorce from her husband. (Owners of the Dodgers). Jamie was my classmate in law school. She is seeking close to $500,000 per month in support. (PER MONTH). I don't see how she can squeak by on that. She'll probably have to take a part time job with the LA Public Defender's office.

But that is only if she doesn't get her job back as CEO of that team in LA. She only wants $320K per month (PER MONTH) in support if she gets her job back.

I think the Yankees have the edge in starting pitching and hitting is on their side too so I think Yankees in six. It might help the sting of them sweeping my Twins club.

I actually think the Philly's are going take it in seven, but maybe that's wishful thinking on my part. I think their starting pitching other than CC gets the edge and the Yankees pen looked pretty bad against the halos. You can't pitch CC and Rivera every night and if the Yanks pen pitches like they have been against this line-up they won't win.
The only thing I question is Pedro in game two in the Bronx. He's already stated they're his daddy in the past. Questionable move IMO not to start Hamels second. Both Parks are bandbox's, should be lots of offense and a fun series to watch.
Lee was filthy tonight. Has to be one of the best World Series performances I've ever seen between the pitching, ho-hum catch and the behind the back stab.

At least you gave other things than pitching...since the best pitching performance in a WS I've seen was in Game 2 in 1988 (yea..I wasn't around for that Larsen perfect game). When a pitcher throws a 3 hitter and has 3 hits himself...now that's really impressive.
I think Pedro Martinez's pregame comments yesterday were a brilliant tactical move. Perdro said some really off the wall things that had everyone in the media talking about them. As a consequence, the focus was off Cliff Lee and the rest of team and they realxed, went out and took home field advantage away from the Yankees. Here's hoping for the Bad A.J. to show up tonight and get shelled.
