Add me to the list that wants Peyton to sit at home with lil bro watching the Superbowl.
Oh yeah, here's hoping Chicago gets beat too.....

It doesn't make much difference to me. There's no powerhouse dominant team in football since Dallas ten years ago and the recent Patriots. Whoever wins this year is highly unlikely to repeat. This year's Superbowl will be a matchup of decent teams with a lot of hype. Hopefully it'll be a close game or it'll be another yawner.
Just one more sip.

I'm not a football fan. We host a Superbowl party every year and it makes no dfference to me whether a NY (read NJ) team is in the game or not. Well, maybe a little bit of difference. I hope for a close game. I think a Dallas-San Diego game would have been ideal.

Excellent! Enjoy the games. I'm sure someone will spark up a "Superbowl wine" thread in the next couple of weeks.
And, yes, go Horse, Mr. Bigg, and have a good time.
Indybob, You seriously are addicted to some strong sh** if you think the horse shoes are going to blow out the Pats. Payton is a big game choker and has no shot against the Belechick led Pats. My beloved Giants have been infected by this Manning fungus and I truly am pulling for the Colts demise.
I thought New England was the best team and was going to win the super bowl 2 months ago and I have not changed my tune. That doesn't help my playoff enjoyment - as I hate Belichick (All Jet fans do).
As usual, I'll have to bet money on all the games to even care what happens - another thing all Jet fans have to do this time of year.
I will root for myself and my wagers. So, "GO HUNTER"! is what I say.

I do not like the Patriots and am rooting against them much harder than I am for the Bears. I have a fondness for New Orleans and think they have a nice offense. The Bears have the better defense. The Bears aren't overrated, not at all. If anything, they get very little respect for their record. I understand this as Rex Grossman is so inconsistent in his play. He really makes me nervous.

Oh, please! New England advanced only because it was the less crappy team, not because it was the best. So unless Manning and company pull an equivalent sized choke job (which is certainly possible) as San Diego managed , then Indy is going to blow them out.

They win in January. Ugly or not. Count the rings. An Indy blow-out? I don't see it, but your definitive post is here to look at tomorrow.

During the Colts-Ravens game last weekend, we went to the movies. Only slightly less scoring in the movie. 900 seat theatre with about 50 people. But, rooting for the Colts? ouch.
