Sorry Neil, but that is just plain stupid. That incident happened when he was a member of the Pacers. It has zero to do with his leadership as Captain of the Warriors.

And get your facts straight, please. It was a seven game suspension and the W's went 1-6. Wink

Dom'n'Vin'sDad-

Thanks for the 1-6 correction. I know that he was a Pacer at the time but I'm just playing "what if?" You can't tell me it hasn't crossed your mind.

More than crossed my mind, and the minds of Warrior fans everywhere. Dare I say that the Warriors would definitely be in the playoffs if he played those first seven? But that still has nothing to do with his leadership role as a Warrior. I am sure you understand....

So true, but Portland had slightly better odds last year and got the #1 pick. And given that they would be playing the Lakers in the first round this year, that would likely mean losing in the first round as the W's do not match up well with the Lakers.

That being said, we have a better draft pick position by several spots to add to a GOOD team. Just need to get the right pick to add some quality, depth and hopefully some much needed rebounding.

Hopefully my Timberwolves will get the first pick and win more than 22 games next year! Razz

Lakers killed it. A lot of chirping going on between Kobi and K-Mart. I see a lot more technical’s coming in this series.

I agree...But to Kobe's credit, he kept his cool. Denver got hit with 4 t's and a flagrant. That will definitely work against them this series. Lakers passing yesterday was out of this world. Complete win, except for a few defensive lapses.

Seriously- i didnt catch the whole game but the bits and pieces I saw were awesome. Odom and Gasol's interior passing is going to be tough to stop. Oh yeah, and that Bryant dude isn't too bad either.

Kobe was only 9 for 26. so it wasn't as good as you are all making it out to be. However if he has a hot shotting night Denver is going to be blown out.

Since there is no NBA Play-off thread, the Suns sure did let one get away from them. So many opportunities and ended with a loss. One reason being a 3 point shot by TIM DUNCAN????? OMG!!!

That Suns-Spurs game was incredible. Not bad for a game 1 in the first round, huh?

Yes, the Suns had their chances. I was shocked that Diaw was Nash's pick and roll partner for the final play of regulation. Diaw also missed a relatively easy shot during one of the overtimes. The biggest mistake was not fouling when they were up three which allowed for Duncan's rare three.

The bright side for the Suns is that the Spurs needed multiple miracles to win this game. The downside is that the Spurs did win and Duncan was awesome (while Shaq was not).

They will get a nice rest after tonight. I think with Kobe and Phil Jackson will go for the jugular every series. Razz

Having watched all 4 games closely, I can honestly say Denver is the most underachieving team I have ever seen considering the amount of talent they have. You can make an argument that their 5 starters are all allstars and AI and Melo are likely future hall of famers. They had no game plan this series and their defense is terrible. I feel bad for Golden State fans as I’m sure they would have put up a much better fight than the nuggets did.

Glenn-

You are right on point. Denver was atrocious and the Warriors would have been more entertaining. There was either no plan (offense or defense) or the players refused to execute one. They play like they don't know one another since they don't pass and don't help. Karl and/or players need to go. 'Melo's not HOF bound at this rate.

As for the Lakers, their offense looked very good and their defense looked good on occassion. Kobe was intermittently spectacular (Game 2, Q4 Game 4), Pau was solid to great, and Luke was the unsung hero.

They'll need to play better to get by Utah.

I don't think any team out of the east has a chance. Whether the Lakers or Spurs make it out of the west should win easily.

Spurs vs Hornets should be a good one. Still take San Antonio, but maybe it goes to 7 games..

The Jazz will probably squeak by the Rockets on Friday night...only to get pummeled by the Lakers on Sunday. Red Face

Still amazed at how NOTHING went the Suns way. It is like that 1st game loss just took all the wind out of their sails.

Why the hell didn't they foul when up 3?

Will they make it 7 straight in the playoffs, at Utah? I think so! Kobe will score 35+. Gasol, Fisher, Odom, and Vujacic will all be in double figures. Odom will give us 15 bounds. Can you imagine if Walton and Farmar bust out for at least 10 points each? To be sure, Utah, at home and with their crowd behind them, will come out more aggressive on offense. (Defensively though, they are no match against the Laker offense.) Can Boozer ‘bring some game?’ Thus far, he seems to be a non-issue in the playoffs.

SHOW TIME!!!

Sancho-

The Jazz will win tonight, Sunday is a different story; that will be the chance for the Lakers to steal a game, then close-out the series in 5 games. Red Face

gigabit,

They have jelled so well and have risen to another level, this year. I will step out on a limb and predict another sweep. Let's see if I eat crow.
