My wife and I are planning a trip to Italy and would love for it to be centered around wine. Can anyone recommend any good touring companies that would provide essentially a wine vacation through Italy. All suggestions and comments are welcomed. Thanks in advance.

Can't help regarding a tour company - but it would be easy to do it yourself - We found it very easy to schedule visits in Montalcino -

Do it yourself if you can, but I worry about you saying "a wine vacation through Italy". You could spend two weeks in any location and still not have enough time. Italy should be enjoyed in small steps since every turn on the windy roads will lead you somewhere new. This is not Napa or Finger Lakes where tourists are catered to and welcomed. Except for some wineries on the Chianti trail, reservations and purchases are expected.
Various books like "Travelers Wine Guide to Italy", "Wine Roads of Italy", Gambero Rosso Italian Wines 2007" may help.
If you still need a tour " www.tuscanway.com
