Darn, 6 - 6 in the first set and I'm thinking we might have an epic match.

Should I just delete the recording when I get home?

Good to see Nestor and Zimonjic coming through again. In mid-tournament, they don't seem anywhere near as dominant as the Bryans, but then they bear down in the later rounds. Hard to tell with the score in doubles, but perhaps the match was more competitive than the ladies.

Great final so far. Roddick wins in the hot wife competition; let’s see if he can win the match!

Indeed. Just tuned in when it was 9-9. Shame someone has to lose (go Roger!)

Incredible match. Sorry to see hometown boy Andy lose after such a good run. Had he won it would have been a Palm Beach county sweep for the men and women.

Wow, what a 5th set. This match rivaled last year, imo.

Roddick played extremely well; his backhand down the line was exceptional, and his composure was steady as a rock. I must admit that I felt badly for him, as he certianly played well enough to win.

I believe that the shadows on the court began to wreak havoc with the timing of both players, and added an extra uncertainty to each point.

Congratulations to Federer. The post-match gathering with Laver, Borg, and Sampras was quite a sight to see.

Not a problem - sounds like I should simply go straight to the men's match.

I was pulling hard for Roddick, but to see another record fall was nice. Now I'll be following Tigers run to top Jack's 18 majors. But that could be another thread.

As everyone that knows me well is aware, I'm a Roger fan from start to finish. I always marvel at his game when I watch him in person.

That said, the 5th set was one for the ages, and will be talked about for decades in the world of tennis.

Well done Gentleman, and here is to number 15!

Just finished watching a recording of the match. Truly an amazing final. I feel bad for Roddick, I actually wanted him to win. Happy for Federer though. He really showed why he is one of the all time greats. Especially in the fifth set, he always looked calm and in control, it just seemed effortless.

I hope Andy is able to take this as a positive. I think that was easily the best match he has ever played. Hopefully he keeps it up and makes a run at the US Open.

This is greatly magnified when you watch him play in person.

You hit the nail on the head. Cool
